[Al-Hākim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqī, 3/249. Ibn Hājar said in Takhreej al-Adhkār that this is a Hasan Hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Sūrat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as Saheeh by Shaykh al-Albānī (رحمه الله) in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6470 & Saheeh at-Targheeb wa Tarheeb: 736] Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (رضي الله عنهما); “The Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever reads Sūrat al-Kahf [#18] on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on Yawmul-Qiyāmah (the Day of Resurrection), and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’” [Al-Mundhiri (رحمه الله) said, "this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh (رحمه الله) in his Tafseer, with an Isnād with which there was nothing wrong."(al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb, 1/298)] Al-Mannāwi (رحمه الله) said: "Al-Hāfidh ibn Hajar (رحمه الله) said in his Amāli: 'In some reports it says ‘the day of Jumu’ah’ and in some reports it says ‘the night of Jumu’ah’. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa.”' [Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/199] Al-Mannāwi (رحمه الله) also said: “It is recommended to read it during the day or night of Jumu’ah, as Imām ash-Shāfi'i (رحمه الله) stated.” [Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “Whoever memorizes the first ten Āyāt of Sūrah al-Kahf, then he will be protected from the Fitnah (trials & tribulations) of ad-Dajjāl.” ['as-Silsilah as-Saheehah'; #582] ..and in another narration; "the last 10 Āyāt." [Saheeh Muslim] “Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf (in the same manner) as it was revealed, he will have a light on Yawmul-Qiyāmah (the Day of Resurrection) that will reach from wherever he is all the way to Makkah. And whoever recites the last ten Āyāt of it, and the Dajjāl emerges right after, then he will not be harmed by him. And nobody makes Wudhū', then says: "Subhanak-Allāhumma wa bi Hamdika; Ash-hadu an lā ilāha illa Anta. Astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk!" (Glory and Praise be to You, O Allāh! I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance) - except that it is written on a tablet and permanently transcribed on that tablet, and that tablet will not be broken or damaged until the Day of Resurrection.” ['as-Silsilah as-Saheehah'; #2651] A man was reciting Surah al-Kahf and his horse was tied with two ropes beside him. A cloud came down and spread over that man, and it kept on coming closer and closer to him till his horse started jumping (as if afraid of something). When it was morning, the man came to the Prophet (ﷺ), and told him of that experience. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "That was As-Sakeena (tranquility) which descended because of (the recitation of) the Qur'ān." [Saheeh al-Bukhārī] Interpretation of Surah al-Kahf - Tafseer Ibn Katheer: http://www.alim.org/library/quran/AlQuran-tafsir/TIK/18/1 ۞وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ۞ [And remind, for verily, reminders profits the Believers.] (al-Qur'ān ul-Majeed; 51.55) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- {Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "Truth has (now) arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish."} (al-Qur'aan; 17.81) {Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "I am only a man like you. It has been revealed to me that your ilah (God) is One ilah (God - i.e. Allaah). So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord."} (al-Qur'aan; 18.110) {Say (O Muhammad ﷺ): "If any men go astray, (Allaah) Most Gracious extends (the rope) to them, until, when they see the warning of Allaah (being fulfilled) - either in punishment or in (the approach of) the Hour,- they will at length realise who is worst in position, and (who is) weakest in forces!} (al-Qur'aan; 19.75) The last & final Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said; "If anyone testifies that None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah alone (One God) Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Slave and His Apostle, and that Jesus is Allaah's Slave and His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Jannah (Paradise) is true, and that Jahannam (Hell) is true, Allaah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few." (Saheeh al-Bukhari) {Say, (O Muhammad ﷺ): "This is my way, I call to Allaah (i.e. to the testification that none has the right to be worshipped except God, alone, with no partner) upon certain knowledge - I, and those who follow me. I declare Allaah free and far removed from all that they associate as partners with Him, and I am free of those who worship anything else along with Him."} (al-Qur'aan; 12.108) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ************************************ ~ THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE TRUTH! ~ ************************************ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Conveying the Truth to the entire world with the Niyah of a swift Da'wah & global Islamic awakening bi-idhnillaahi ta 'Ala.
